Pedal With Purpose is presented by the
AZ Water - Water For People Committee in association with the Perimeter
Bicycling Association of America to help bring safe drinking water and sanitation
to people in developing countries and to promote personal health and wellness through
cycling.
In 2007, Perimeter Bicycling adopted Water For People
as one of the beneficiaries of the largest perimeter cycling event in America - The University Medical Center El Tour de Tucson presented
by Diamond Ventures.
El Tour participants who ride for Water For People raise a minimum of $100 in charitable
donations from individual sponsors, in addition to the $95 registration fee. Included
in each registration fee is a $10 contribution to el Tour's primary beneficiary,
Tu Nidito Children and Family
Services. Tu Nidito is Southern Arizona's resource
for children and familes whose lives have been impacted by serious illness or death.
