Water For People
Water For People
is an international, non-profit, humanitarian organization of dedicated people who
recognize water as a primary building block of life – essential to social, economic
and physical well-being.
The vast time and energy spent by impoverished people throughout the world in gathering
water and caring for the sick reduces their ability to work productively. Women,
in particular, bear a disproportionate amount of this hardship.
WATER FOR PEOPLE works side-by-side with local partners to help people in developing
countries gain access to safe and sustainable drinking water and adequate sanitation.

AZWA
(formally AWPCA)
The AZ Water Association (AZWA) is a nonprofit educational organization founded in
1928 with a membership of 3200 water/wastewater professionals dedicated to preserving
and enhancing Arizona's water environment. Although AWPCA is an independent organization,
it also serves as the Arizona section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA)
and the Arizona member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF). AWPCA
also serves as the parent organization for the Arizona Water For People Committee.
Both AWWA and WEF have selected Water For People as their charity of choice.
